A photograph has never existed in my mind before the shot: I see what is there, I vibrate with what is there, I love what is there, I am moved by seeing what is there.
The photographer expresses himself, but must be objective, in the sense that he must not distort reality.
The poetry and strength of a great photograph lie precisely in this: the photographer's sensitivity has interpreted reality without distorting it, without projections, has grasped its essence and given it a form through which his desires, his inner world, are realized.
Photography is a tissue taken from eternity.
Everything exists, the important thing is 'to see'.
